A clinical-grade site for a pan-European medical organization: education, certification and public awareness for endometriosis, organized around a growing library of masterclasses, webinars and research.
The Challenge
Medical organizations almost always end up with two sites glued together: one “for the public” and one “for professionals”. EEL wanted a single place that gracefully held both audiences, without either feeling out of place. The library also had to grow without the board opening a ticket every time: new masterclasses, webinars archived by year (2020 through 2025), case discussions, paper reviews, industry partners and the annual congress. And, of course, all of it had to be accessible, multi-language ready and fast.
How I Built It
A WordPress build with a clean, content-first information architecture: a global header that foregrounds the four pillars (World of Endometriosis, Masterclasses, Trainee Programme, Webinars) and lets patients branch off into plain-language explanations. A custom content model separates Masterclasses, Webinars by year, Case Discussions and Articles, so the board adds entries through the WP admin, not through a developer. The home page opens with the current fight (“Leading the Fight Against…”) and includes the next EEC congress, the certification path and a feed of the latest news. Accessibility was treated as a requirement, not a checklist: semantic landmarks, focus management, sufficient contrast, keyboard navigation.
