The Challenge

Local builders' sites usually look thrown together: generic templates, stock photos, no real story. But the decision to buy a renovation or a new build is emotional; homeowners want to trust the people carrying materials through their front door. The site had to be the opposite of stock: calm, self-assured, specifically Vermont, and photographically honest. It also had to do the boring but critical work of showing up in searches like “builder near Montpelier” and making the phone ring.

How I Built It

A WordPress build organized around the four services AHA actually sells: Renovation, Remodeling, Addition, New Construction. Each has its own page, with a clear promise, proof from recent projects and a single clear call to action. The home page leads with their real tagline (“Built on Integrity. Focused on Results.”) and continues with a project grid powered by a custom case-study CPT, so the team can add a new build without touching code. Local SEO was baked in: LocalBusiness schema, served towns in the footer, a direct link to the Google Business profile and a clean Contact page that loads fast over a flaky rural connection.
