The Challenge

Riders are in motion. That meant every decision had to defend three things at once: perceived speed on flaky mobile signal, one-handed use with gloves on, and a first launch that doesn't require an app-store install. The social graph had to scale from five friends to open rally feeds, without turning the home screen into a noise machine.

How I Built It

A React + Vite frontend served as a PWA, so riders install it from the browser with zero friction: a full offline shell, Apple launch screens, a native-feeling status bar, service-worker updates that silently reload in the background. A typed API surface with cache-first reads keeps the feed instant after the first paint. i18n is built in from day one, so the product scales across rider communities without a rewrite. The design system is dark-first on Space Grotesk + Manrope, tuned for outdoor light and thumb reach.

Results That Matter

“It's the first motorcycling app that didn't feel like a form on wheels.”
